Today, even tho' it was still quite cold, i felt inclined to do some garden/yard maintenance.
I put chicken wire over 10 heuchera plants to keep the deer at bay. I give the deer a fair amount of time to nibble on the plants in the garden... and then i need to step in so that the plants will have a chance to grow. I may be adding more chicken wire at a later date.
I trimmed the zebra grass, pampas and oat grasses... still have a few more to trim. I also trimmed the raspberry bush and a lot of shrubs along the lower edge of the property.
I also picked up a lot of twigs and pine branches. Soon it will be time to burn the pile that i have accumulated.
