One of the last flowers to bloom.
The garden is in its last pre-winter stages. A few flowers hang on... the snapdragons, some white alyssum that reseeded itself between the patio pavers, a california poppy, a shasta daisy, a mum.
A few little final glimpses before the winter nap.

Hello, Paula. Thank you for the lovely monkshood photo. We've never grown that...not sure if I've ever even seen it before. Very pretty. It's looks like purple tissue paper.
We have snapdragons hanging on, too! It's my first year growing them, so it's a nice surprise. Other than that, it's mostly zinnias, cosmos, and geraniums. And the sheltered impatiens (on the porch) are blooming like mad things.
You have allysium (sp?) coming up between pavers? I tried to grow that from seed last spring. It was listed on a gardening website as one of ten EASY seeds to grow. They grew to about 1/4" high, and stayed exactly that way all summer...no blooms, no more growth, nothing. I guess they won't be self-sowing...
But the foxglove should. It's still in bloom right now, too. Just one little short spike.
